This gal is awesome. I have known her since she was in probably second grade (ahh!) and now she’s graduating high school and I gotta tell ya it’s making me feel old!! She has always been the sweetest, most caring and encouraging person and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow into such an amazing young woman!

For the last 5 years, Leah’s family and I have served in church together – her parents lead our missions ministry and I am on the worship team. Leah has been an active participant in our church since she was young, and has been on several trips to our sister church in El Salvador on medical missions to serve the people there. She volunteers several hours a week to educating and ministering to the youth of a nearby community in need through teaching ESL and participating in Bible studies there. She is also an accomplished violinist, on staff at the Apollo (Forge’s yearbook), and leads Forge’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She loves drawing and photography AND she was just accepted at Messiah College where she intends to study Social Work! WHEW! She’s obviously a very busy lady and the fall colors and sweaters & boots are her favorite, so I’m so glad she and I were able to coordinate schedules for her portraits while fall was still here!

Downtown Fredericksburg is beautiful all year, but the fall tones make it feel especially warm & welcoming – I love that Leah wanted to have her portraits done there. I also love that she brought along her grandmother’s violin for some shots! My seniors are so creative and talented!

Leah, I’m so grateful for your trust in me to capture your beautiful spirit and this season of your life. I am proud to call you my friend, sweet girl!!
