Here we are the DAY BEFORE Taylor and Renée say “I do” and I’m blogging their engagement session! Ahh!! This couple has blown me away in the few short weeks we’ve worked together not only because they’re the sweetest people and have been AWESOME to work with, but they have handled the craziness that naturally comes with wedding planning so calmly and with such grace – it’s been impressive to see! They just got engaged over Memorial Day weekend, and their wedding is literally tomorrow, so they’ve been getting stuff DONE!! Andrew and I are SO excited to spend time with these two and their families tomorrow!! It’s going to be a beautiful day!

We decided to shoot their engagement portraits in Downtown Fredericksburg and along the Rappahannock River this past Sunday. Taylor and Renée love history, and Taylor proposed on the banks of the river, so it was perfect! These guys NAILED every shot and we had so much fun with them! It brings me so much joy to watch a couple interact during sessions, and these two had my heart overflowing! The way he looked at her, and how relaxed I could tell she was because she was with him….my little photog heart was leaping!!

Taylor & Renée, you two are wonderful. Thank you for obliging me when I asked things of you that felt a bit out of your comfort zone. Thank you for laughing at and with me as I contorted myself to get certain shots. And above all thank you for trusting Andrew and me with the memories of this time in your lives. We are so excited and honored to share in this time with you!!

A quick backstory to this shot: Renée had always wanted a pair of Minnetonka moccasins, and Taylor sweetly gifted her some before they got engaged. I love that she wore them to their session, and she wanted to tie them into a ring shot. I love how this came out!
